No act of
kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. -
Aesop
It is one of the
most beautiful compensations of this life that
no man can sincerely try to help another without
helping himself. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
The gift of time
given by volunteers to our residents and
patients is valuable beyond compare - and
usually considered equally priceless to those
that participate. While Cedar Crest provides our
residents and patients with a dynamic,
person-centered recreational program, our
volunteers enhance resident life through
additional one-on-one activities or by assisting
staff. Our
volunteers range in age and interests, each
bringing something special to those lives they
touch. Activities may include:
- Visiting –
both one-on-one and in groups
- Recreational
activities – including games, arts and
crafts
- Letter
writing & Reading
- Story
Telling
- Manicures
- Meal time
Assistance
- Gardening
- Baking
- Sewing &
Knitting
- Painting
- Pet Therapy
- Music &
Singing
We offer day,

an application, including all pre-requisite
