At the Cedars, we never rest with the status quo and constantly
push ourselves to provide the highest quality of
care. Cedar Crest was the first independently
owned and operated facility in the state to
receive the
American Health Care Association
Step I Quality Award. To qualify, we were
required to positively demonstrate our
organization-wide commitment to a
customer-focused facility mission, identify our
customers and what they expect and indicate our
how we are striving to meet those needs. The
level of commitment and teamwork required to
achieve this award is apparent in every day life
of Cedar Crest. Many of Cedar Crest’s department
leaders have been with the facility since the
beginning and fully understand what is takes to
succeed in this “business of care”.
Another good example of our commitment to
quality is our accreditation by
The Joint
Commission of Healthcare Organizations.
Receiving accreditation from The Joint
Commission is extremely difficult and expensive
– but it is also completely voluntary. Many
facilities have in fact dropped out from the
process because of the time and cost involved -
with less than 10% of RI facilities accredited
today. We think that having Joint Commission
accreditation sets us apart and that the
achievement process keeps our staff and services
a cut above.
